PORK PATTIES ORIENTAL image

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 pound ground pork
1 recipe - 1 egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon ground mustard
1 can (20 ounce) unsweetened pineapple chunks, drained
1 recipe - 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into chunks
1 recipe - 3 green onions, sliced
3 tablespoons vinegar
3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 recipe - cooked rice, hot

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients; mix well. Shape into four patties.
  • In a large greased skillet over medium heat, brown patties on both sides; drain. Add pineapple and juice, green pepper and onions; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine vinegar, water, brown sugar and cornstarch; mix well. Add to pineapple mixture. Bring to a boil; boil and stir for 2 minutes.
  • Serve over rice.
