Pork Lo Mein image

This is an easy recipe that you can use the Pork as called for or beef, chicken or shrimp. All of them are good...My family loves it. Hope you will too.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 c orange juice, fresh
1/2 c soy sauce, dark
1/4 c canola oil
1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 lb pork, cut into strips
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 c water
1 pkg peas or pea pods, frozen
1 can(s) water chestnuts (8 oz), drained
1 pkg egg noodles, 16 oz.

Steps:

  • 1. Blend juice, soy sauce, oil, sugar and ginger. Add pork, marinade and cover for one hour. Add marinade and pork to skillet and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 2. Stir in cornstarch, blended with water. Bring to a boil, reduce and simmer, stirring until sauce thicken, about 5 minutes. Add vegetables and simmer covered for an additional five minutes.
  • 3. Meanwhile, cook noodles, drain. Toss pork mixture and noodles together and serve...
