PORK CHOPS WITH REDUCED CIDER GLAZE image

Number Of Ingredients 10

Glaze
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup apple cider or juice
2 TBSP Dijon Mustard
1 TBSP soy sauce
Pinch Cayenne pepper
CHOPS
4 pork chops
1 TBSP vegetable oil

Steps:

  • 1.Combine all glaze ingredients in a medium bowl and set aside. 2.Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet over med-high heat until smoking. Add pork to skillet and cook until browned, about 4-6 minutes. Turn chops and cook 6-8 minutes until center is 140 F. 3. Transfer chops to plate. 4. Add glaze to the pan and simmer until it is thick and caramel color, about 4-6 minutes and until spatula leaves a wide trail when dragged through the glaze. 5. Return chops to pan to coat with the glaze. 6. Serve immediately.
