This was a recipe my Mother-in-law prepared for her family when my husband was young, in place of Turkey for Thanksgiving, as turkey was more expensive than pork at the time. It is one of my husband's favorite meals. With corn and applesauce as sides, it was very filling.

Steps:
- 1. Pare and cut up potatoes. Place in pan with water to cover. Boil until soft enough to mash. When done, mash, add butter, chopped onions and poultry seasoning.
- 2. While the potatoes are cooking,brown the pork chops in a skillet until partially cooked. Place porkchops in bottom of a casserole. Top with mashed potatoes.
- 3. Place in 350* oven and bake about 1 hour, or until pale brown on top.
