PINK JELLO SALAD image

This is a old time recipt.

Categories     Gelatin Salads

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 cup(s) pinapple, crushed with juice
1/2 cup(s) sugar
1 - envelope unflavored gelatine
1/4 cup(s) water, cold
2 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
2 tablespoon(s) maraschino cherry juice
1 package(s) cream cheese
12 - 15 - cherries, chopped
1 cup(s) cool - whip (use more if you wish)
- *********nuts - your choice
- ********marshmallows, mini

Steps:

  • Soften gelaten in water. Heat pineapple and sugar together till desolved. Then mix in gelaten, mix well.
  • Add both juices to the mix, and cool. Mash cream cheese and cherries together, then add to the cooled mixture.
  • Chill until slightly thickened. Then fold into Cool-Whip and let set.
  • *********If you like you may want to add chopped nut / mini marshmellos or both.
