This is a recipe I've enjoyed since childhood. Having a Cuban grandpa & Puerto Rican grandma, this was a staple in our house. It's a wonderful comfort food. (This is a web photo until I make some more and take a pic. I just want you to have an idea of what this is.)

Steps:
- 1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, green pepper and garlic and saute until the onion is transluscent.
- 2. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3. Add remaining ingredients, stirring until well combined. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- 4. Serve over white rice.
