Philly Chicken image

Another comfort food that is almost decadent, found in a thrift store box of hand-written recipes.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 cup(s) celery, chopped
1/2 cup(s) sweet onion, chopped
1/2 medium green bell pepper, chopped
3 tablespoon(s) canola oil
1/2 teaspoon(s) dried tarragon
1/4 teaspoon(s) lemon pepper
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
1 pint(s) heavy cream
8 ounce(s) package cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup(s) milk
3 cup(s) diced cooked chicken
1/4 cup(s) parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Add the celery, onion, and pepper - saute for one minute. Add the tarragon, lemon pepper and garlic. Cook until the veggies are tender.
  • Add the cream, cream cheese, and milk. Stir until cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Do not boil. Add the diced chicken and cook over low heat until heated through.
  • Serve over wild rice or pasta of your choice. Sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
