PEPPERY MAPLE CHICKEN image

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 tbsp butter
4 chicken breasts or 8 thighs
1 cup chicken broth
1 tsp crushed rosemary leaves
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
2 tbsp pure maple syrup

Steps:

  • Melt butter in large frying pan over med-high heat. Add chicken and saute untill golden (3-4 min per side). Pour in chicken broth, scrape up any brown bits and stir into broth. Sprinkle with rosemary pepper and generous pinches of salt.Bring to boil stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to med-low. Simmer, covered, turning halfway through - about 10 min total. Remove to plate and cover with foil. Add maple syrup to pan juices. Increase heat to high and boil uncovered to reduce to desired consistency.
