PECAN SURPRISE BARS (PIMLOTT) image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pkg Pillsbury Yellow cake mix
1 cup butter (melted)
1 eg
1 cup chopped pecans
Filling:
2/3 cup reserved cake mix
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs

Steps:

  • Grease bottom and sides of 13x9x2 pan. Reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling. In large bowl, combine remaining dry cake mix, butter and 1 egg. Mix until crumbly. Press in prepared pan. Bake at 350 for 15- 20 mins. Prepare filling. Cobmine all ingredients beat at medium speed 1-2 mins. Pour filling over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with pecans. Return to oven and bake for 30-35 mins until filling is set. Cool. Cut into 36 bars.
