Steps:
- Crust: Cream butter with sugar; beat in flour and vanilla until blended; stir in finely chopped nuts. Press into pie plate to form the crust. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until light brown. Cool. Increase oven heat to 375 degrees. Filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Pour into crust; arrange pear slices on top of pie, completely covering the filling. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the pears. Bake at 375 for 28-30 minutes. Center will be soft-set. Cool for 15 minutes. Refrigerate overnight.
