Parmesan Broccoli image

Add life to buttered broccoli with sliced red onion, zesty seasonings and Parmesan cheese.

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
4 cups fresh broccoli florets
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon peppered seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • In 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook onion in butter 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add broccoli and water. Cover; cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until broccoli is crisp-tender and water has evaporated.
  • Sprinkle with peppered seasoned salt and Italian seasoning; toss to mix. Sprinkle with cheese.
