Pan Seared Tuna Noodle Bowl image

Yummy Tuna bowl

8 oz rice noodles
2 tuna filets
1 c red cabbage
1 red chili seeded and finely chopped
1/4 c cilantro chopped
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp each fish sauce and sesame oil
1/4 c brown sugar
2 clove garlic minced
1 Tbsp grated ginger
juice and zest of 1 lime
1 Tbsp black sesame seeds
lime wedges

Steps:

  • 1. Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside. In a saucepan over med heat add the sesame oil. Add the garlic and ginger and saute 1 minute. Add the soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice and brown sugar. Cook 1 minute. Add the red cabbage and chili and cook until cabbage is crisp tender. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • 2. Place a cast iron pan over high heat until it smokes a bit. Lower the heat and add the tuna and sear about 2 minutes each side or until desired doneness. Remove the tuna to a cutting board.
  • 3. Place the noodles on a plate. Top with the veggie sauce mixture. Top with fresh cilantro. Slice the Tuna and place it on the noodle bowl. Garnish with black sesame seeds. Serve with lime wedges.
