PAN-FRIED ASPARAGUS image

1/4 C. butter
2 T. olive oil
1 t. coarse salt
1/4 t. ground black pepper
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 lb. fresh asparagus spears, trimmed

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in olive oil, salt and pepper. Cook garlic in butter mixture for about 1 minute, but do not brown. Add asparagus; cook 10 minutes, turning to ensure even cooking.
