Ozark Cake image

My Mother-in-Law used to make this and everyone loved it.It is really moist and yummy!

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 c sugar
1/2 c shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
4 c raw apples,diced
1 c raisins
1 c nut meats

Steps:

  • 1. Beat sugar and shortening,well.Add eggs.Beat again.
  • 2. Combine dry ingredients.Add to sugar mixture.Beat well.
  • 3. Add apples,nuts and raisins.Beat with mixer if desired.
  • 4. Bake 70 minutes at 350 degrees.Add mixed fruit if desired.
