Steps:
- Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and 1 tsp. cinnamon in a bowl and set aside. In another bowl, cream granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and butter. Mix in eggs, buttermilk and flour mixture. Fold in apples. Pour into a 9x13 greased baking pan.
- For topping, combine remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar, walnuts, and 1 tsp. cinnamon and sprinkle over batter. Cover with foil and put in refrigerator until next morning.
- Uncover and let stand 30 minutes. Bake 45 minutes in a 350°F oven.
