Oven-Smoked Steak image

There's nothing more satisfying than the taste of freshly barbequed beef on a grill. Here's a recipe for those days when you cannot use your outdoor grill. Its easy! I've made this many times! This recipe was posted on the Internet by a cook named Annieamie. The photo is my own.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 large pieces boneless sirloin roast
1 Tbsp salt
1/2 Tbsp black pepper
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 Tbsp garlic powder
3 Tbsp liquid smoke flavoring

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Add all of the dry spices together in a bowl and mix.
  • 3. Sprinkle the entire roast with the dry seasonings, rubbing them well into the meat.
  • 4. Place the beef into a baking pan.
  • 5. Sprinkle the liquid smoke over the meat.
  • 6. Cover the pan completely with foil and place in oven for 60 minutes.
  • 7. Remove foil and bake for 15 to 30 minutes, (depending on how rare you prefer your beef) and allow the top to brown.
  • 8. Remove beef from oven, cover and let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • 9. Slice against the grain and serve.
