NOTHIN' SPECIAL CHOCOLATE PIE image

I have been craving something chocolate and my mother's chocolate pie began to call my name. Since I didn't have her recipe I decided to wing it and create my own this evening. Yum! It is so good. The memories it stirs are warm and fuzzy!

Time 1h20m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1-1/4 c graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c sugar
1/3 c butter, melted
1 box jello instant chocolate pudding and pie filling
2 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. In a small bowl, thoroughly combine first three ingredients
  • 2. Place graham cracker mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie plate and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • 3. When the pie crust has cooled sufficiently, whisk together the pudding mix and the milk for about two minutes. As you whisk, the mixture will start to firm up.
  • 4. Refrigerate the pudding mixture for about twenty minutes and then spoon it into the graham cracker crust.
  • 5. Serve pie with whipped cream or Cool Whip topping and keep in refrigerator for up to a week.
