3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
3/4 cup honey
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine the flour and baking soda. Stir together the applesauce, honey, and vanilla in a separate bowl. Add to the dry ingredients and stir well. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop the batter by the tablespoonfuls onto a nonstick or lightly oiled cookie sheet. Flatten with fork. Bake until lightly browned, about 12 minutes.
