My Favorite Taco Burgers image

These burgers just burst with flavor!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 pound(s) ground beef
1 package(s) taco seasoning 1.25 oz pkg.
3 tablespoon(s) heinz chili sauce (or ketchup)
1 cup(s) monterrey jack cheese, shredded
3 tablespoon(s) chopped green chiles
6 slice(s) pepper jack cheese
6 slice(s) tomato (optional)
chopped lettuce (optional)
packaged guacamole (optional)
6 toasted buns

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl or food processor, mix together ground beef, taco seasoning, and chili sauce. Form into 12 patties.
  • Sprinkle 6 of the patties with shredded cheese and green chilies. Top these 6 patties with the remaining 6 patties. Seal well around the edges so cheese won't leak out.
  • Grill burgers for 5-7 minutes on each side. Just before the meat is finished, add a slice of pepper jack cheese to the top and allow the cheese to melt slightly.
  • Place patties on toasted buns, add tomato slices, lettuce and guacamole - then top with remaining buns.
