My Aunt's Festive Salad image

This fruity and festive dessert salad appeals to everyone: those who eat it-and the person who puts it together in 25 minutes and gets all the credit!

Yield Makes 20 servings, 1/2 cup each.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/4 cup sesame seed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 container (16 oz.) BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1/3 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. KRAFT Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
6 red apples, chopped
4 bananas, sliced
1 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped

Steps:

  • Cook sesame seed in small skillet on medium heat 3 min. or until lightly toasted, stirring constantly. Add granulated sugar; cook and stir 2 min. until sugar is caramelized and evenly coats sesame seed. Remove from heat; spread onto sheet of foil sprayed with cooking spray. Cool completely. Crumble into smaller pieces.
  • Mix sour cream, powdered sugar and dressing in large bowl until well blended. Add apples, bananas, nuts and half the sesame seed; mix lightly.
  • Top with cranberries, mint and remaining sesame seed.
