Mustard BBQ Sauce image

Mustard barbecue sauce was traditionally used for mutton, but it is also equally good on beef or pork. This recipe was written to make 6 cups total which is fine if you're barbecuing for a crowd. Number Of Ingredients 9

1 c cider vinegar
1/4 c juice from a jar of pickled jalapeƱos
1/4 c dark brown sugar
1/4 c light brown sugar
1 c prepared yellow mustard (can use other type, but won't be as historically accurate)
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp worchestershire sauce
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 tsp cayenne

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boil and reduce to simmer. Cook for 3 or 4 minutes and mix well. Use immediately.
