MOTHER'S MEATLOAF RECIPE image

This is a recipe my mother made and I have updated

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 c bread crumbs, fresh
3/4 c yellow onions, finely chopped
1/4 c green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 medium apple, finely chopped
2 eggs
1 lb ground beef, lean
1/2 lb sausage, hot
1 Tbsp horseradish
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
1/4 c milk
1/4 c ketchup

Steps:

  • 1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES.
  • 2. IN LARGE BOWL, BEAT EGGS.
  • 3. LIGHTLY MIX IN GROUND BEEF AND SAUSAGE.
  • 4. THEN ADD CRUMBS, ONIONS, GREEN PEPPER AND APPLE. TOGETHER WITH HORSERADISH, SALT, MUSTARD, MILK AND KETCHUP.
  • 5. MIX AND THEN SHAPE INTO AN OVAL LOAF. SPREAD TOP WITH KETCHUP [APPROXIMATELY 1/2 CUP].
  • 6. BAKE AT 400 DEGREES FOR 50 MINUTES.
