Monkey Bread-Bread Machine image

I used to make this with Pillsbury rolls, then used my bread machine to make the dough. SO much better!

DOUGH
1 cup(s) water (warm, not hot)
2 tablespoon(s) butter, softened
1/4 cup(s) sugar
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon, ground
3 cup(s) all purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoon(s) yeast (i haven't noticed a difference between active dry and rapid rise)
FOR COATING
1/2 cup(s) sugar
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon, ground
FOR GLAZE
1 stick(s) butter
1 cup(s) brown sugar (i use light brown sugar)
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350. Place 2 tbsp butter, water, sugar, salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, flour and yeast into bread machine. Set to dough cycle. If it's humid, and the dough seems like it's coming out sticky, add a little flour while still early in the dough process.
  • When dough is finished, combine 1/2 c white sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Roll dough into small balls, roll into sugar/cinnamon mix and put into greased bundt pan. When done, cover with towel and let rise 1/2 hour.
  • After dough rises for about a half hour, put 1/4 c. butter in small pan and melt. Add brown sugar and vanilla, bring just to boil. Pour over bread pieces. Bake at 350 30-35 minutes.
