Mom's Slow Cooked Pork Chops image

Everyone LOVES this, it was my grandmother's recipe. My Mom always serves with mashed potatoes, string beans and applesauce

Number Of Ingredients 6

1+ lb pork chops, center cut
1-2 can(s) stewed tomatoes, italian-style
1/2-1 onions
1-2 green peppers
to dredge flour
to taste salt and pepper

Steps:

  • 1. dredge the pork chops in s&p & flour
  • 2. brown on both sides
  • 3. put in crockpot or dutch oven
  • 4. saute sliced onions & green peppers til soft, add to crockpot/Dutch oven
  • 5. Cover pork chops with the stewed tomatoes. Cover with lid.
  • 6. Dutch Oven: bring to a boil, then simmer for 4+ hours, until falls off the bone
  • 7. Crock Pot: cook low for 4+ hours, until falls off the bone
