Mom's Oven Bake Chicken image

This was a family favorite growing up. My mom passed this one on to me. My husband and kids love it. The meat is so flavor full and tender it falls off the bone. Thanks mom.

1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
5 -6 drops Worcestershire sauce
1 large bay leaf
salt and pepper (to taste)
10 -12 chicken drummettes

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a sauce pan and cook on the stove about medium - medium high until it comes to a boil. Let it boil for 10 minutes. stirring occasionally.
  • Place your chicken in a roasting pan or casserole dish and pour the sauce over the chicken.
  • Bake the drumettes for 2 hours uncovered.
  • Serve piping hot and enjoy.
