MIDDLE EASTERN SPINACH TURNOVER image

260 g Spinach
1 small Onion
Lemon
pine nuts
Salt, Pepper (Black or White)
Pomegranate juice
Olive oil

Steps:

  • Shop finely cut spinach (after removing stems), rub with salt and squeeze liquid out. Shop onion fine, rub with salt and pepper and add to spinach. Fry pine nuts in a bit of butter, add to spinach. add juice of one lemon and two tablespoons of Pomegranate juice. Add olive oil and Mix all together. On a flattened basic dough cut circular pieces, place a bit of mixture on the circular dough and fold creating a triangular turnovers Place on an oven sheet, brush turnovers with olive oil, place in a pre-heated oven (200 degree C) for about 12/15 minutes or until slightly brown. Can be eaten hot ot cold.
