Meltaway Chocolate Cookies image

I have always liked melting moment cookies so here is a chocolate version

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup(s) sifted cake flour
1/2 cup(s) confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoon(s) cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
SET ASIDE.
CREAM TOGETHER UNTIL BUTTER IS SOFT.
1/2 cup(s) butter
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Beating until smooth after each addition,add dry ingredients in fourths. Make sure to begin and end with the dry ingredients. Drop dough by teaspoons about 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets, lined with parchment paper.Flatten each cookie to about an 1/8 inch thickness with tines of a fork,dipped frequently in water.Form a crisscross pattern. Bake at 300 degrees 12 to 15 minutes. Sift confectioners sugar over warm cookies. Makes about 4 dozen cookies
