Maple & Sausage Corn Muffins image

Yield 8 jumbo muffins

Number Of Ingredients 12

1-1/3 cups white corn meal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1/4 cup maple syrup
8 oz. ground breakfast sausage,cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
1/3 cup canned chopped green chiles

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Mix corn meal, flour, baking powder and salt together; set aside.
  • In mixer, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add maple syrup and milk.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until moistened. Stir in sausage, cheese and chiles. Spoon into greased muffin jumbo tins.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
