Maple Orange Chicken image

for an interesting taste, swap out maple syrup for pinapple juice and orange zest for bacon bits

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 c maple syrup
2 tsp dejun mustard
1 tsp grated orange zest
1 Tbsp white vinegar
1 tsp tyme
4 bone in, skin on, split chicken breast
salt and pepper to your taste
1 Tbsp vegetable oil

Steps:

  • 1. preheat oven to 475
  • 2. wisk maple syrup, mustard, orange zest, vingar and tyme in a medium bowl
  • 3. pat chicken dry with a paper towl
  • 4. season with salt and pepper
  • 5. heat oil i an oven safe skillet over midium heat
  • 6. cook skin side down for 5 minutes
  • 7. turn skin side up and transfer to the oven
  • 8. cook for 15 minutes or until golden brown
  • 9. transfer chiken to plate
  • 10. tent with foil
  • 11. pour out any fat in skillet and maple mixmin pan over medium heat for 3 minutes(stir often)
  • 12. season with salt and pepper
  • 13. retern chicken to pan and glaze
  • 14. serve
