I like the winter squash, you can make so many varities. Butternut Squash is one of my favorite. Maple syrup provide a sweet note. I hope you enjoy this.

Steps:
- 1. Cut each squash lengthwise in half; discard seeds. With vegetable peeler, remove peel, then cut squash crosswise into 1-inch-thick slices.
- 2. In 5 quart saucepot, heat 1 inch water to boiling over high heat,add squash. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until tender, About 15 minutes. Drain.
- 3. In large bowl, combine squash,maple syrup butter, salt and pepper. With mixer at low speed, beat until smooth. Spoon into serving bowl.
