2-3 lbs stewing beef, cut into 11/2-inch cubes
2 medium onions
4 carrots,peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
3 stalks celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 (11/2-ounce can) tomato juice
1/2 cup dry cooking sherry
1/3 cup quick-cooking tapioca
1 tbs sugar
1 tbs salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp dried basil
2-3 med potatoes,peeled and
cut into small chunks
1/2 lb fresh geen beans ,ends trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces.
1/2 lb mushrooms
