This is a MUCH lower fat and calorie version of Magic Chocolate Mug Cake (Microwave). Didn't know just how much better until I posted it! I streamlined it by using self-rising flour, and applesauce instead of the oil and egg. For the applesauce, I usually have the 4 ounce cups around for school lunches, so I just throw in one of those instead of measuring it out. I love adding a little sugar or fat free pudding on top. Be aware, just like the original, this is not a spongy cake. It's...thicker. But if you go in knowing that, you can appreciate it for what it is.
