Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 to 3/4 C Old Bay Seasoning
10 small new potatoes, about 1" in diameter, rinsed but not peeled
1 lb smoked sausage, cut into 1/2" coins
2 medium sweet onions quartered lengthwise
5 ears fresh corn, cut into thirds
20 large shrimp
1 lemon cut in half
Optional: 1 clump of crab legs
12 scallops
12 mussles
I use a turkey fryers for this recipe, much easier than on the stove.

Steps:

  • Fill a 20 quart stockpot 2/3 of the way with water. Bring to a simmer. Add the Old Bay Seasoning and simmer for about 5 minutes Add the potatoes, sausage and onions, bring to a slow simmer and cook until the potatoes are almost tender (about 15-18 minutes) Keeping the water at a simmer, add the corn and cook about 3 minutes. Add the crab, heat it through, about 5 minutes. Add the scallops, shrimp, mussels and cook until the shrimp in nice and pink and the mussels open. Remove from pot, and spread on a newspaper covered table top. Serve with crusty bread, melted butter, lemon wedges and cocktail sauce.
