Lighten up Linguine With Clams image

This is a tasty dish that you can enjoy with a happy heart. Personally I prefer whole baby clams to the ask for chopped ones.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pound(s) package linguine
2 tablespoon(s) light margarine
1/4 cup(s) olive oil
3 clove(s) chopped garlic
1 pound(s) fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 can(s) (6 1/2 ounces each) chopped clams with juice
1/2 cup(s) chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon(s) chopped fresh basil
1/2 teaspoon(s) white pepper
1/4 cup(s) grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until done to taste; drain.
  • Melt margarine along with the olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic and mushrooms until golden brown.
  • Stir in clams with juice, parsley, basil, salt and white pepper. Cook over medium heat until hot.
  • Toss with pasta until evenly coated. Serve garnished with Parmesan cheese.
