LEMONGRASS BEEF SKEWERS image

1 lb beef tenderloin
4 lemongrass stalks, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 1/2 tsp five spice powder
2 tbsp honey
Small bunch cilantro (chopped)
25 skewers
Lettuce leaves, to serve
Peanut sauce (for dipping)

Steps:

  • 1. Cut beef into bite-sized (1 1/2 inch) cubes. 2. Combine lemongrass, garlic, ish sauce, sesame oil, five-spice powder, honey and cilantro in a bowl. (this marinade can be made 2 days in advance) Add the beef. Turn to coate and marinate at least 10 minutes. 3. Grill for 2-3 minutes per side. While cooking, place lettuce leaves on plates, and drizzle plates with sauce. Skewer and plate over lettuce leaves.
