LEMON HERB BUTTER SAUCE image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 T chopped shallots or yellow onion
2 T white wine vinegar
1 1/2 T White wine
1 1/2 T Lemon juice
1/2 c whipping cream
1 c butter, room temp
salt
white pepper
1/2 t dried dill
1/2 t dried thyme
1/2 t dried parsley

Steps:

  • Combine shallots, vinegar, wine and lemon juice and cook on high heat until almost all of the liquid is gone. Add cream and simmer over med heat until sauce has reduced and slightly thickened. Remove from heat, set aside and cool for a few minutes. Just before serving, whisk small amounts of butter in at a time to the warm liquid. Add seasonings. Can also add olives, capers, garlic, mushrooms. Serve on vegetables, meat or fish.
