Lammas Corn Custard image

This Corn Custard recipe was taken from the Farmer's Almanac. They are the masters on recipes for the season.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 c fresh kernal corn
1/4 c flour
1 tsp each sugar and salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 eggs
2 c milk
2 Tbsp melted butter

Steps:

  • 1. Mix corn with dry ingredients. Add eggs, milk, and butter. Place in a buttered baking dish, individual dishes, or casserole set in a shallow pan of hot water. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
