1 c brown lentils cook
1 c elbow macaroni cook
1 c rice cook
2 T vegetable oil
1.5 c chunky-style spaghetti sauce, homemade or canned
2 T distilled white vinegar
1 t crushed red pepper, more or less to taste
½ c water
Salt and pepper
Onion

Steps:

  • Drain cooked lentils and cooked macaroni. Combine with cooked rice in large bowl. Fry onion until slightly brown and set aside as topping. Combine spaghetti sauce, vinegar, red pepper, water, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Bring to boil. Then simmer for 5 minutes. Combine sauce and cooked ingredients. Top with onions.
