Kicked Up Greens image

I was tired of basic old greens, so one day I started throwing stuff in that sounded good and this was born. I ate a lot of this when I was on my "no salt, flour, il, sugar, or dairy" diet. It was one of the few things that had some flavor! I hope you try it and enjoy it too! Note: Photo is borrowed from the internet.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 bunch collard greens, chopped
1 bunch kale, chopped
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
8 clove garlic, minced
3 green onions, chopped
3 c chicken broth, no salt added (or low sodium)
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp black pepper
juice from 1/2 lemon

Steps:

  • 1. In a large skillet, add everything but the greens. Cook until onions begin to soften. Add greens. Cook until greens are desired tenderness.
