This recipe was submitted by Capital City Christian Church, Frankfort, KY, Lelia Todd, Chairperson. NOTE: This is a very stiff batter so I added in 3 to 4 tablespoons of milk and they turned out great! Very good, chewy and chocolatey.

Steps:
- Cream butter and sugar in large mixer bowl. Add in eggs, milk and vanilla and blend well.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Blend into creamed mixture; add more milk if needed. Stir in nuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for approximately 8-9 minutes. Do not overbake. Cookies will be soft. They will puff during baking and flatten upon cooling.
- Cool on cookie sheet until set, about one minute. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
