KALO's Kale-Beet Smoothie image

Kale and beet smoothie developed over 3 years to perfection! Try to use all organic items if possible. If you don't drink it immediately, it will thicken; I then just use a spoon and eat it for lunch. The flavor changes and becomes sweeter.

1 cup chopped kale
4 fluid ounces unsweetened cranberry juice
¼ cup frozen blueberries, or more to taste
½ red beet
1 tablespoon flax seeds
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon milk thistle seed powder, optional
1 teaspoon green tea powder (matcha)
water as needed

Steps:

  • Combine kale, cranberry juice, blueberries, beet, flax seeds, chia seeds, milk thistle seed powder, and green tea powder in a high speed blender (such as NutriBullet®). Add water to reach the blender's fill line. Blend until smooth.
