Julie's banana bread image

I've tried lots of banana recipes and love this one. I use almost black bananas and usually use either 5 small ones or 4 really large ones. I make this bread a few times a month and freeze it in smaller tins. It's yummy and moist!

Number Of Ingredients 8

- 4 large black bananas
- 1/2 stick real butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 4 tablespoons sour milk
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, milk, flour and baking soda. Add sliced bananas last. (Note: I use a mixer to mix all the ingredients)
  • Spray 2 loaf pans with Pam. (This recipe yields two loaves in the disposable tin pans or can use about 5 of the small tins) Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  • Note: I add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to the 4 T milk to make the sour milk. Then let set for 5 minutes prior to mixing the ingredients.
