Joe Frogger Cookies (Gingerbread) image

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 1/2 cups Flour
1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Cloves, ground
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 1/2 teaspoons Ginger
1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Molasses
1/3 cup Water or rum (white)

Steps:

  • Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, ginger, cloves and nutmeg
  • Cream together butter, sugar, molasses and water/rum
  • Add dry ingredients to wet in 3 parts, stirring after each addition
  • Chill dough for 30 min until firm
  • Turn out onto rolling surface with a little flour, roll and cut
  • Bake for 10 min at 350 degrees on greased cookie sheet (or use parchment/silicone to line pan)
