Jewish Apple Cake - Dessert Recipe image

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 cups flour
1 cup oil
2 cups sugar
3 t baking powder
2 t vanilla
4 eggs
Juice of 1 large orange
3 large apples

Steps:

  • Mix first 7 ingredients and beat med. speed 5 mins. Peel and slice apples. Grease tube pan. Pour in 1/2 of batter, arrange 1/2 of apple slices. Mix 1/2 cup sugar & 1 t cinnamon. Cover apples with half of sugar mixture. Repeat, ending with sugar mixture. Bake 15 mins. at 450 deg., then 1 hour 15 mins. at 350 deg.
