Jamaican Apple Pie image

Margret's Apple Pie

Number Of Ingredients 11

6 Apples
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Tbsp Vanilla
1/2 Tsp Nutmeg
1 Tbsp Flour
Pinch of Salt
Frozen Pie Shell
Topping:
2 Tbsp Flour
1/2 Stick butter chilled
2 Tbsp Cinnamon Sugar

Steps:

  • - Core and skin apples and cut into 1" cubes.
  • - Preheat the oven to 350.
  • - Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • - Pour into pie crust.
  • Topping:
  • - Mix dry ingredients, then cut in the butter and mix till crumbly.
  • - distribute on top of pie.
  • - Place pie on the middle rack and bake for 45 minutes.
  • - Lower temperature to 300 and bake an additional 30 minutes.
