Jalapeno Cheese Burgers for Freezing image

These are great to make ahead and have waiting for a busy work week. I try to keep things like this stocked in my freezer to help make my life easier. Just pull them out and pop on the grill (inside or out), and you can have a meal ready in no time at all.

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 pound(s) extra lean burger (i used 93% lean as it was on sale!)
4 ounce(s) garlic cheddar cheese or any cheese that would crumble
1 1/2 cup(s) parmesan cheese, shredded
1 jar(s) old el paso, jalapeno peppers sliced and then chop
2 - cap fulls of worstershire sauce
1 cup(s) chopped fresh parsley
- fresh pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a large bowl crumble the beef, add the crumbled cheese.
  • Next add the parmesan cheese.
  • Chop the sliced peppers and put on top of the cheese and sprinkle the worstershire sauce over top. Add your pepper at this time.
  • Finally add the parsley and mix well. Do not over mix as you don't want your burgers to get tough.
  • Form into patties and place on saran wrap on a cookie sheet. I formed 4 to one sheet of saran wrap and then started a new section. I made 12- 1/3 lb burgers. Once you have the burgers all formed and wrapped in the saran wrap place in freezer for about an hour or until they are starting to set-up a little. This will make them easier to place in the freezer bags later.
  • Take the burgers out of the freezer and place in freezer bags and return to the freezer. Now you have your own burgers with your own ingredients and not from a box so you can use for a quick meal.
