Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 c powdered non-fat dry milk
3/4 c cornstarch
1/4 c instant chicken bouillon (regular or low-sodium)
2 Tbsp dried onion flakes*
1 tsp basil, dried*
1 tsp thyme, dried*
1 tsp white or black pepper*

Steps:

  • 1. *You can substitute the herbs that you prefer, or wait to add them to the soup or sauce that you are making.
  • 2. Mix all the ingredients well and store in a tightly zipped Zip-Lock bag. This mix does not require refrigeration.
  • 3. If you want to gift this mix, you can use a recipe card for the gift card and include this recipe on it.
  • 4. Combine 1/3 cup of dry soup/sauce mix with 1 1/4 cups of cold water. Whisk until well blended.
  • 5. Cook and stir on stove top or in microwave until thickened. Add thickened mixture to casseroles as you would a can of soup (or just EAT it!!).
  • 6. This is another recipe I saw on different sites, but when I found it on this blog, I went with it as I have never been disappointed. http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2012/03/soup-or-sauce-sos-mix.html
