Homemade Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: ripe banana, eggs, vegetable oil, salt, plain yogurt, milk, masa harina, flour, baking powder, mini chocolate chips

1 ripe banana, mushed
2 eggs
¼ cup vegetable oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup plain yogurt
1 cup milk
¾ cup masa harina
¾ cup flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
¼ cup mini chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat the griddle to 370°F.
  • Whisk eggs and oil into banana until smooth. Then, whisk in salt and yogurt until smooth, then milk. Whisk in masa until smooth.
  • Add flour and baking powder and stir just barely mixed.
  • Add chocolate chips and stir until only tiny clumps of flour remain.
  • Put 6 pancakes at a time from a ⅛ cup scoop onto the griddle. Once the tops of the pancakes have lost their shininess, 2 to 3 minutes, flip with an offset spatula. They should be brown, but not burnt. Let the pancakes cook for another 1 to 2 minutes on the other side.
  • Serve.
