Hearts of Palm Salad image

Very light and fresh, this Hearts of Palm Salad is a tasty appetizer that can be served alone or also as part of a meal...

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 can(s) (14 oz./398 ml) hearts of palm, rinsed, drained and sliced
4 Tbsp light sour cream
1/2 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice, or more to taste
1/4 tsp fennel seeds, ground
1 small pinch ground himalayan sea salt, or to taste
1 small pinch white pepper, or to taste
2 large lettuce leaves, washed and torn

Steps:

  • 1. Rinse the vegetable thoroughly in a colander, drain and then slice.
  • 2. In a bowl, add sour cream, lemon juice, ground fennel seeds, sea salt and white pepper; stir to combine.
  • 3. Divide the torn lettuce among 4 small plates and place the sliced hearts of palm on top. Lightly drizzle the dressing on top. Serves 4
