HAWAIIAN CHICKEN - EVIE AND SARA LEE image

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 chicken --2 1/2 to 3 1/2 lb., cut into serving
pieces
1 t. salt
pepper
2 T. oil
1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, undrained
2 T. soy sauce
1/4 c. water
2 T. cornstarch
1 c. diagonally sliced celery
2 tomatoes, cut in wedges
1 green pepper cut in thin strips
hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • Season chicken and brown in oil on all sides in large skillet. Add undrained pineapple and soy sauce. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add water and cornstarch blended. Cook, stirring until thickened and add celery, tomatoes, green pepper. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Serve with rice. Makes 4 - 5 servings.
